This page is especially for our existing parents and carers to keep them up to date. Here we provide a record of all activities of interest, dates for your diary and other information concerning our nursery.

Normally we will distribute this information on paper to every parent or carer, but bits of paper get lost, so this page will provide a permanent record of events !

The Next Steps Childcare team would like to invite all parents/carers to our Spring parent/carer meetings. We feel that these meetings are a good opportunity to discuss your child's development and to answer any other questions you may have about our routines, planning assessment or any other topic.

Nursery - 22nd to 26th February 2010

Pre-School - 1st to 5th March 2010

Please contact your child's key carer to arrange a convenient day and time.

Our recent Ofsted inspection rated us good overall with an outstanding for the strong partnerships we form with our children's parents and guardians. We were praised for our professionalism, effective team work, the quality of care provided to children of all ages, and our extensive range of outdoor facilities and purposeful activities.

The Clever Kangaroos Pre-School had a visit from our local Police Officer to talk about road safety. They also had an opportunity to look over the police car ! Many thanks to our friendly Officer.

A Huge Thank You to all our parents/carers, children and staff for making our Pyjama Fun Day such a special day and raising over £100 for our chosen charity, Rehab UK, who specialise in helping those with Brain Injuries.

Top Award for Food Hygiene for Next Steps

Mendip's new scheme for recognising Standards in Food Hygiene has awarded Next Steps Childcare the top award of 5 Stars after a thorough on site inspection of all aspects of our food hygiene practices.
